In her weekend English classes, SSF Manager Fatou Janneh frequently asks our students to write essays. She has forwarded many of these to us, and we are happy to publish some of them in this space. Some appear in full. In other cases, we have used only excerpts. We hope our scholarship students will be proud to see their work on the Internet. And we believe people in other countries will find in these essays insights about The Gambia and its people and especially about our students. We publish them without editing.
